Online Language Archive
The Language Centre also attract funding from the Federal Government’s Endangered Languages Program, which is used to further develop the New South Wales Aboriginal Online Language Archive, which will allow those interested in Aboriginal languages to conduct research and archive their language materials for use by communities. The Online Language Archive has been developed to archive Materials about the Indigenous languages of NSW. The Archive enables members of the public to :
- Search for word lists, CD-ROMS, videos, training manuals and other useful information to help communities do language work.
- Preserve and secure recordings of native speakers and teaching materials produced for languages.
- Search for community organizations, schools and others currently running language programs involved in language revival.
- Build resources on Aboriginal Languages or related subjects. Resources can be added and uploaded by members of the public. You will need to login to access the site.
